Good morning. Good morning. Where are we? We are in the most magical place on Earth. Magic Kingdom. We are slowly making our way up Main Street. We had really good night's sleep. Oh, so good. And then we got up. I got out of bed at like 7.15 and we were fully ready to leave by 8 o'clock. Yeah. We mobile ordered. Breakfast was great.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it was actually a very good idea.
SPEAKER_01I got like a tacho situation with like a pico de gallo and avocado. Very pleasantly surprised, but yeah, very, very fresh. Even though you only see it. And caught the bus right away. I have to say, it is so civilized the way the Value Resort slides for the bus.
SPEAKER_00I usually hear an actual line.
SPEAKER_01It's got switchbacks and everything. So everyone knows who was there first. Very, very genteel.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01Um, yeah, and it was a little bit of a hike to get over here to Magic Kingdom from the All-Stars, but that's to be expected. And then we're just taking it easy. We took some photos from the train balcony. We were gonna maybe ride the railroad, but um it had just left, so it was gonna be a little bit. So instead we did a little emporium wander. I investigated sending a postcard from Magic Kingdom because I bought my kids a postcard, but I'm unprepared to actually mail it yet. I just wanted to find out how it worked. And now we are heading in and we're gonna head towards Pirates, I think. Yeah. Yeah, or should we go through Fantasyland? What do you want to do? Um, your call. No, your call.
SPEAKER_00We we were gonna do the main street vehicles, but they were gonna be another like 10 or 15 minutes because the Dapper Dans have to go up and back down the street first.
SPEAKER_01Haley says the Dapper Dans are a real problem.
SPEAKER_00They are the Dapper Dans are always getting in my way. No, I love them. They were they were singing as we came in, and it was very so nice. So yeah, so we're just enjoying the morning.

SPEAKER_01Well, hello. Hey, it is 11:15. I think we last checked in on our walk-in, right? Yeah, it's so we hadn't really done anything yet, but we went over to Tomorrowland. I was gonna maybe get some Joffreys. The line was wicked long and in the sun.
SPEAKER_00We thought about doing space, but that was different.
SPEAKER_01It was down, so instead we just hopped on the people mover. Lovely. I had a cute little start to the day. Um and then we got some castle picks in front of the new colors, which are really pretty. So pretty, I love it. It reminds me of like childhood. Yeah, it's classic. And then we went over to Pirates because we had a lightning lane, but that was down. So instead, we spent a little time in the gift shop because we didn't really get to poke around there last time, and it's one of my faves. Um, and then it was like close to our beacon barrel time.
SPEAKER_0035 minutes early.
SPEAKER_01But they took us right away. Right away. Um, so we were in a pirate tavern at about 10:15 in the morning. And I have no regrets. I have no regrets. Haley found her favorite wine there. Yes, spiced root chocolate, my favorite wine. They always have it at Animal Kingdom Lodge, but not usually like a lot of other places. So I had that and I had the hibiscus situation, and I forgot what the name of it was. It's a rum punch. A rum punch, yes. I had the barrels of blaze and the lit fuse, which were, I think both of those are what I got last time. I have no regrets about those either. I like them both a lot. We were actually seated at the bar, which was really fun because we got to see more of the effects than we did last time. We were standing. We're just sitting there at the bar. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um, but we didn't get any food because we had had a big breakfast. So yeah, and then we did Pirates because that was open. Practically like walked on. Walked right on. And now we are headed over towards Haunted Mansion. So we'll check in later. Alright, it's 2 15. What have we been up to, Haley? Last time we recorded, I think we were leaving Haunted Mansion. Or were we walking to Haunted Mansion? I think we were walking to Haunted Mansion. Okay. We rode Haunted Mansion, which is great as always. And Danielle was very brave. Well, first we went to a mental mori and I found a couple of things I'm gonna have to go back for. Yes. So that's a big deal. I got I filled my popcorn bucket. Haley filled the popcorn bucket, and then I was very brave and we went on Tiana's. Yeah, and it was very pretty. I think I need to ride it again when I'm not terrified for my life.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like so you can soak it all in. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Sometimes I'm just too focused on waiting for the bad thing to happen. Um, and it wasn't that bad, and it was okay. We did not get soaked. We had um ponchos for our feet. Yes, so that was good. We didn't want to get our running shoes. Running shoes full about that, yeah, because of all the running that we were planning on. Um, yeah, so we did that, and then it was kind of time to skedaddle. Yeah, so we really just headed out. Headed out, and we came over. We caught the boat. The Polynesian. Yeah, we caught the boat to the Polynesian. Um, I had never done Trader Sam's. We were able to grab a reservation like right away as soon as we were in range. It was like, yeah, come on in. Yeah, so you can join the walk-up wait list, like basically as the boat is pulling into the Polynesian. Yeah, is when it opens up. So we did that. Hmm. I wonder where the rest of the signs are. Hello, we're looking for the race transfer. Um, yeah, so I had never been to Trader Sam's before, and we were able to join right as the boat pulled up, and it was pretty immediate to get in, so we actually had gone up to Tamboo Lounge thinking we would need to kill some time, but we actually didn't need to kill any time, so we left. We were seated with folks at a small table, which was like a little funny. Yes. Is that normal? I don't know. I didn't have that happen last night. I was like, we were also like a group of maybe six. Okay. Maybe we just took up a bigger table. Okay. Um, it was weird because you were literally like facing each other at the table. It was a little yeah, it was like you were together very much so. Not like when you're like at Oga's and you're standing around a table, yeah, you know?
SPEAKER_00Right, okay.
SPEAKER_01Um, but yeah, it was great. We both you tried a hibiscus thing again. Uh no, I got the Tahitian torch. Tahitian torch, which is good.
SPEAKER_00It was a little sweet by the end of it. I was kind of done with it, but it was good.
SPEAKER_01I got the zombie, it was also like pretty sweet, and then we split the oa. Which we didn't which we really didn't like. Um, so we didn't quite finish it. But uh, it was really fun and glad we got to check it out. And now we are walking over to the race transfer station for the expo to go get our bibs. So we'll check in later. Alright, it's been a minute. Hi. It's been about four hours. It is now 6 30. We accidentally did about 18,000 steps so far, but that's fine. That seems not like a problem for us in the future at all. Um what did we do? Last time we checked in, we were at the poly looking for the race stuff. We actually had kind of a weird, weirdly difficult time getting cast members weren't sure where the bus was to the exbo was, like at Pali, which is just kind of weird, but we found it, it's all good. And got over there. It is a long hot walk to get from the bus area to where you actually get your bib and then your t-shirts in a different building. We were not there for March, so it was pretty quick. Yeah, less than less than an hour. Yeah. Um, and we were able to catch a bus pretty quickly uh back to where did we go? Uh we got off the beach club. We got off the beach because we were headed to International Epcot. Yeah, so we took it to Beach Club and then walked to Epcot, which was also a long hot walk. Yes. And then spoiler alert, when we got to Epcot, it was still hot. So it was the hottest part of the day for sure. Yeah. So we wound up, um we went to we were supposed to find some people for a meetup, um, but we couldn't. That's right, we couldn't find them. We were we were a little bit late. We might yeah, we might have just missed it, but um that's okay. Alright. We um we wound up taking the boat across the water just to save.
SPEAKER_00We went to Italy. Oh, firstly.
SPEAKER_01Like the the Italy booth that wasn't. Yes. Um it was fine. The drink were the orangeini was like, meh. I just needed to eat something. I didn't want to have another sugary drink without food. Yeah. Um, so that's why we did that, but it was fine. It was what we expected. Yeah. And then we hopped on the boat. We just didn't want to add the steps if we didn't have to. Right. And it turns out that was a good choice. That was a good decision by us. Good job, us. And then you hit the Canada booth.

SPEAKER_01Uh yeah, Northern Northern Moon. Um, it was pretty good. It was I got the seared scallops.
SPEAKER_00They were a little tough, but I mean it's scallops made in like a shed outside in Florida. So, what are you gonna do? Um, but that was good. I just needed something in my body, basically.
SPEAKER_01And we didn't get any drinks there. We just we didn't want any more sugary drinks. We're done. So um then we did test track, which was fun. I hadn't done that since the revamped, yeah. What did you think? I really liked it. I liked the update. I think it's a bummer you don't get to design your own car right anymore, but you know, not a not a deal breaker. I I was happy with it. And uh then, oh, and then we got you got some food. You got more food, you got a French toast. Oh yeah, but it's a French cot, and I got the French toast situation. It was tasty, but you could tell it had been like sitting out for a while. Yeah, and I actually I wanted to, I thought for a second about getting the pullover over here. About getting the um the shrimp over there, the shrimp and grits, but then I saw that everything was kind of sitting out and I was like, I don't want to be part of to be part of this. Um so yeah, then we did Guardians, it was amazing. Amazing as all God, everybody wants to rule the world, which I don't think I've ever had before. I might have had it one time. Okay, and then we hopped a minivan over to Disney Springs. So we're a little early for our dinner reservation, but we're also a little lost. Super lost. Super lost. So we should probably wrap this up and check in later. Kaylee, what time is it? I don't know. I don't have my phone out. You know why?
SPEAKER_00Because I got an ice cream when we left um Disney Springs, and it is now fully liquefied in a cup, so I'm holding it very carefully.
SPEAKER_01So my phone is not. It is nine. It is 8 47. Do you know what time we left? Our hotel room this morning. So early. It was 8 o'clock on the nose. We are bad at taking it easily. We're not good at this. We're not good at this. We are at almost 20,000 seven. We are who we are. We are who we are. The good news is my running shoes are now fully blue. But we had a phenomenal dinner. Yes, dinner at the Jaleo. Jaleo?
SPEAKER_00Haleo? I thought I've been saying.
SPEAKER_01I think it's Haleo. Haleo, okay. It's kind of like how I always say yay ali, but it should be high ali. I think it should be halao. And there's only one H sound.
SPEAKER_00But it was phenomenal.
SPEAKER_01Honestly, it lived up to all of the hype. Really liked the vibe. We got a little nervous walking in because like other people looked dressier than us. Yeah. But we got in there and it was like definitely a mix. And it was like upscale food without being stuffy. Yeah. It was really a good vibe in there. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I I loved it. Um, and also like fairly reasonably priced. For how much food we got. Yeah, I got a wine flight and a cocktail. Danielle got two cocktails, and then we got what six six. Six plates, and this tip it was like 240. Yeah. Which I feel like it's not that bad.
SPEAKER_01Not that bad. Do you want to pull over over here for a second? Um, yeah, we got you got the red wine flight. I got the salt air margarita. And let me tell you what, it lived up to the hype to the hype. It lit like that. I loved that when you took a sip, the foam didn't deflate. Yeah. And I feel like the last time I got something like that was also at Disney. Not there. Yeah. And the foam deflated, but it also wasn't salty enough. This was like really salty. So it was a really good mix. I was really happy with that. And then we got the Manchego, which is awesome. Um, we got the I don't know how to say it, but it's bread with tomatoes switched up on it.
SPEAKER_00And it's one of my favorites.
SPEAKER_01It was so good. I think that was my favorite thing. And then we got patatas bravas, which is like a spicy potato, it has like a spicy sauce underneath, and then kind of an aioli on top. Um, which I really liked the spicy part. I could have done without the mayo y bit.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Um shrimp. Yes, the spicy garlicky shrimp. That was probably my favorite.
SPEAKER_01I just I was so full by the that is a favorite of mine in other places. I was just so full by the time it came that I only had like two shrimp, I think. But it was really good. We got a really interesting artichoke situation. Yeah. It was like one artichoke that had been cooked like confi, so like in oil, and then really smoky grilled.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And it had a remescue sauce, which was also very good. We couldn't figure out quite how we were supposed to eat it, but we did enjoy it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we couldn't figure out how to attack it, but we figured it out.
SPEAKER_01I feel like there was something else. Um I just had a texture issue, which was not quite for me. Yeah. But it was, yeah, overall incredible. And then we both got old fashions. Haley got the Mediterranean, I got the ultimate. G and cheese. G and cheese. Oh, yeah, sorry, G and cheese. Um, and they were delightful. It was a solid cocktail. So really, really good. Nice night. And then Haley grabbed her ice cream, which is currently melting. So we're gonna head back to the room. Completely liquid. And then we I don't know, we got confused.
SPEAKER_00We went to the West Side bus loop, but then we couldn't find Disney buses.
SPEAKER_01So maybe there aren't any. So maybe they're not. So I uh I probably met read the math wrong. I'm not good at maths. I should a quick Google would have solved this and I didn't do it.
SPEAKER_00So we called a lift.
SPEAKER_01I was pretty stressed leaving Disney Springs because it was very crowded. And it's not just making me anxious. You're it's not your thing at night, for sure. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um but it was worth it for the delicious meal.
SPEAKER_01So totally, totally.
SPEAKER_00And now we're gonna.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I don't think I can hang out there at night ever. Every guy there looks like someone I'd fight in a bar.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and someone bumped into me and like really aggressively.
SPEAKER_01And they just kept walking like they didn't notice. It was very bizarre. Very, very strange. It's like either a club or like a fight club, and we're not sure which one. Could go either way. Depends on Daniel's mood. Um so yeah, but we yeah, we won up calling a lift and it was easy. Um we're gonna go put our feet up and relax. And tomorrow we're gonna try to do better. We're really gonna take it together. We're gonna do better tomorrow. Tomorrow we're gonna do better. Yeah, I promise. So we'll check in then. Bye-bye.
