Hello everybody. Um, this is Hayley checking in with my first on the go from our sister's trip 3.0 2026, um, off to a little bit of a stressful start. Nick is um supposed to be picking me up in Providence to bring me to Logan because I had an appointment this morning. And a few weeks ago I lost my real ID, um, which I replaced and it came, the new one came in um two days ago, so I figured I was all set. Um I have it here in my dad with me. So Nick was supposed to pick me up at noon in Providence, but after he left the house, his uh dad called him and said, I just found Haley's license. You better come home and get it. Well, it was the old license that I lost. So he drove all the way back home thinking I needed it, and is now going to be like a half hour late to get me in Providence. So that's a little bit stressful, but I think we should still be okay. I should be to the airport like a half hour early, so we'll see how we do it. Where are we, Haney? We're at the airport, we made it. Just just barely. The skin of our teeth. Literally the skin of our teeth. That's a really gross phrase, actually. Now that I think about it, I don't like that. You should brush your teeth if it has skin on. Gross. Um yeah, at 11.08, I had not yet showered or packed, and my Uber was getting here at 12 and I couldn't find my suitcase. So that wasn't great. And then Haley had a mishap.
SPEAKER_01Yes, which I I updated it right on the go about that, but um, yeah, so I got to the airport at I think 1.36 for a 252 flight.
SPEAKER_02Yes, still managed to get two drinks in though, so that's good. We're about to go bored. We went to the new Mexican place and Terminal C. It's pretty good.
SPEAKER_01Some serviceable chicken tender, yeah. The drinks are good.
SPEAKER_02Needed something in my stomach, so and uh then we're gonna go bored. I don't know what I packed. I I packed in a duffel bag because we couldn't find the suitcase, and then we found the suitcase right when the Uber got there. So I literally just like dumped my duffel bag out into my suitcase. So you know, we're just we're making it happen.
SPEAKER_01We do have seats together.

SPEAKER_01Yeah, um, because we didn't even update about this yet, but um, we ended up changing flights. Surprise! It is um not 7 p.m. It is actually 2, what, like 2 p.m. 2:30 in the afternoon. Um we switched lights from the 7.15 p.m. flight to the 252 flight.
SPEAKER_02So we were able to get out a little bit earlier because I wound up taking the day off. Um so we did end up on the 252 we thought we were gonna end up on.
SPEAKER_00And we got our seats together and we feel like we have pulled off iced.
SPEAKER_02I feel like I'm being chased by a bear. Like that's where my nervous system is at right now.
SPEAKER_01So I'm really hoping to veg out a little bit on the way to like calm down.
SPEAKER_00I don't know why I was so flustered about this when I was like going through security like a noob.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. No, I spent most of the day in the air yesterday, which we'll update about later. So until like 10 p.m. last night, I wasn't even sure the script was happening. I'm fine. Everything's good.
SPEAKER_02Chaotic person.
SPEAKER_01Everything's fine, everything's really good. Um, but yeah, so I can't believe we're here. Um recalibrate before we land in Orlando.
SPEAKER_00Oh my goodness. I made bad outfit choices. I look like a Timu Hannah Montana. You don't, that's not a good one. I do, I do an old Timu Hannah Montana. Alright, we are getting a notification that we're supposed to be boarding at the moment. So Haley's doing a really champion job of finishing a beverage before we have to go.
SPEAKER_01She got here like four minutes ago, so he brought me my drink and I was like, I'm just gonna save you some time. Can I order the refill right now and also the checks?
SPEAKER_02We're being very efficient. Don't worry about it. Um but yeah, okay, but I guess we'll check in from uh from Orlando. Oh my gosh. Or the sky, we'll see. Or the sky. Oh hello. Greetings from All-Stars. Uh which one are we at? Where are we? What's going on? Where are we? We can't remember which all-star we're at. It's movies. We're at movies. Um, we had a good flight. Yeah, it was a it was a good flight.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It was a little chaotic boarding. Everything was like the the gate agents were kind of like yelling and snapping at people, and it was a little stressful. But once we got in the air, everything was good, and the only thing that was the bummer was we landed and it was over an hour to get our luggage. Yeah, it took forever for the bags to come through. We had gate checked because they we were boarding group D, and they basically said like there's no way there's gonna be room left, so we just gate checked and um yeah. Over yeah, over an hour from landing to our bags coming out. So that was kind of a bummer, but it was fine. Um, and then we got an Uber here, which was decorated amazingly. Yeah, Star Wars Everything. It was a Tesla, which was weird. Tesla. Yeah. Um that was exciting. And we pretty much came here, we went straight to our room. Yeah, we did online check-ins.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, I was worried at first because we're in the Fantasia building and the pool area was popping, and I was worried it was gonna be loud, but we're on like the back side of the building, which knocks on wood, seems like it'll be pretty quiet. Yeah, it's a really good location. Um, the rooms look just like Pop. Exactly like Pop. Yeah, so funny. They look like very clean and functional, and I think they will do the trick just perfectly for a trip like this. Yeah, totally. Yeah, so we we really just dropped our stuff and then we came back over to the main building to get dinner because we realized we were starving. We both got salmon with potatoes, you got broccoli, I got beans. It was great, it was really good. Yeah, not bad. Like 20 bucks. Hey, we got wine, I did it, so yours was more expensive. Yeah, um and then we checked out the gift shop for a hot minute. Yep, and uh then my kids wanted to FaceTime, so I did that, and now we're out here at the pool bar, we're waiting on a um DoorDash delivery.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we ordered some drinks, we ordered a case of water, a couple of snacks, a couple protein bars, um, and that should be here within the next like 20 minutes or so. And then I think I'm gonna take like a cold shower and maybe pass out potentially.
SPEAKER_02I'm tired. I have a little bit of work to do and I want to get my stuff organized for tomorrow. But other than that, yeah, that's kind of the plan. I want to read a little and like have a cocktail in bed, probably. Yeah. Um, I'm zonked.
SPEAKER_01Me too. Yeah, I'm tired. It was a big day.
SPEAKER_02It was a big day, yeah. Um, but yeah, we're gonna try to take it easy tomorrow, but we'll still get to the park early. Yeah, we're gonna soak up some vibes. We've got some good lightning leans lined up, might do a little monorail crawl. So we're doing a meetup with a Patreon group that we're in. Gonna go to the expo and get our number our bibs for the race. And then we have uh a fancy dinner to prepare. Yeah, yeah, yalejo.
SPEAKER_00We don't know how to Jolio. We're going to Jolio for dinner.
SPEAKER_02We don't know. Interestingly, the salt foam margarita is not currently on the menu online, so fingers crossed.
SPEAKER_03We will write.
SPEAKER_02Fingers crossed. That's kind of why we're gone. So, but yeah, we'll check in tomorrow. Good morning. Good morning. Where are we? We are in the most magical place on earth, Magic Kingdom. We are slowly making our way up Main Street. We had really good night's sleep. Oh, so good. And then we got up. I got out of bed at like 7:15 and we were fully ready to leave by 8 o'clock. Yeah. We mobile ordered. Breakfast was great. Yeah, it was actually very good. I got the bounty platter. I got like a tacho situation with like a pico de gallo and avocado. Very pleasantly surprised, but yeah, very, very fresh. Um and caught the bus right away. I have to say, it is so civilized the way the Valley Resort flies for the bus to an actual line. It's got switchbacks and everything. So everyone knows who was there first. Very, very genteel.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02Um, yeah, and it was a little bit of a hike to get over here to Magic Kingdom from the All-Stars, but that's to be expected. And then we're just taking it easy. We took some photos from the train balcony. We were gonna maybe ride the railroad, but um it had just left, so it was gonna be a little bit. So instead, we did a little emporium wander. I investigated sending a postcard for Magic Kingdom because I bought my kids a postcard, but I'm unprepared to actually mail it yet. I just wanted to find out how it worked. And now we are heading in and we're gonna head towards Pirates, I think. Yeah. Yeah, or should we go through Fantasyland? What do you want to do? Um, your call. No, your call. We we were gonna do the main street vehicles, but they were gonna be another like 10 or 15 minutes because the Dapper Dans have to go up and back down the street first. Haley says the Dapper Dans are a real problem. They are the Dapper Dans are always getting in my way. No, I love them. They were they were singing as we came in, and it was very simple. So yeah, so we're just enjoying the morning. Alright, we'll check in later.

SPEAKER_02Well, hello. Hey, it is 11:15. I think we last checked in on our walk-in, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I think so.
SPEAKER_02We hadn't really done anything yet, but we went over to Tomorrowland. I was gonna maybe get some Joffreys. The line was wicked long and in the sun. We thought about doing space, but that was different. It was down, so instead we just hopped on the people mover. Lovely. And had a cute little start to the day. Um, and then we got some castle picks in front of the new colors, which are really pretty.
SPEAKER_01So pretty, I love it. It reminds me of like childhood. Yeah, it's classic.
SPEAKER_02And then we went over to Pirates because we had a lightning lane, but that was down. So instead, we spent a little time in the gift shop because we didn't really get to poke around there last time, and it's one of my faves. Um, and then it was like close to our beacon barrel time.
SPEAKER_0135 minutes early.
SPEAKER_02But they took us right away. Right away. Um, so we were in a pirate tavern at about 10:15 in the morning. Yes, and I have no regrets. I have no regrets. Haley found her favorite wine there. Yes, spice fruit chocolate, my favorite wine. They always have it at Animal Kingdom Lodge, but not usually like a lot of other places. So I had that, and I had the hibiscus situation, and I forgot what the name of it was. It's a rum punch. A rum punch, yes. I had the barrels of blaze and the lit fuse, which were, I think both of those were what I got last time. I have no regrets about those either. I like them both a lot. We were actually seated at the bar, which was really fun because we got to see more of the effects than we did last time.
SPEAKER_01We were standing, which was a little bit of a standing at the bar.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, but we didn't get any food because we had had a big breakfast. So yeah, and then we did Pirates because that was open. We practically like walked on. Walked right on, and now we are headed over towards Haunted Mansion. So we'll check in later. Alright, it's 215. What have we been up to, Haley? Last time we recorded, I think we were leaving Haunted Mansion, or were we walking to Haunted Mansion? I think we were walking to Haunted Mansion. Okay. We rode Haunted Mansion, which is great as always. Danielle was very brave. Well, first we went to a mental mori and I found a couple of things I'm gonna have to go back for. Yes. So that's a big deal. I got I filled my popcorn bucket. Hayley filled the popcorn bucket, and then I was very brave and we went on Tiana's. Yeah, and it was very pretty. I think I need to ride it again when I'm not terrified for my life. Yeah, like so you can soak it all in. Yeah, sometimes I'm just too focused on waiting for the bad thing to happen, um, and it wasn't that bad, and it was okay. We did not get soaked. We had um ponchos for our feet, yes, so that was good. We didn't want to get our running shoes, running shoes wet about that, yeah, because of all the running that we were planning on. Um yeah, so we did that, and then it was kind of time to skedaddle. Yeah, so we really just headed out, headed out and we came over to the house. We caught the boat, the Polynesian. Yeah, we caught the boat to the Polynesian. Um, I had never done trader stamps, we were able to grab a reservation like right away as soon as we were in range. It was like, yeah, come on in. Yeah, so you can join the walk-up wait list like basically as the boat is pulling into the Polynesian. Yeah, is when it opens up. So we did that. Hmm. I wonder where the rest of the signs are. Hello, we're looking for the race for your um yeah, so I had never been to Trader Stands before, and we were able to join right as the boat pulled up, and it was pretty immediate to get in, so we actually had gone up to Tamboo Lounge thinking we would need to kill some time, but we actually didn't need to kill any time, so we left. We were seated with folks at a small table, which was like a little funny. Yes. Is that normal? I don't know. I didn't have that happen last time I was there, but we were also like a group of maybe six, so maybe we just took up a bigger table. Okay. Um, it was weird because you were literally like facing each other at the table. It was a little yeah, it was like you were together very much so. Not like when you're like at Ogas and you're standing around a table, yeah, you know, right here. Um, but yeah, it was great. We both you tried a hibiscus thing again.
SPEAKER_01Uh no, I got the Tahitian torch.
SPEAKER_02Tahitian torch. Which is good. It was a little sweet by the end of it.
SPEAKER_01I was kind of done with it, but it was good.
SPEAKER_02I got the zombie, it was also like pretty sweet, and then we split the oga which we didn't like which we really didn't like. Um, so we didn't quite finish it. But uh, it was really fun and glad we got to check it out. And now we are walking over to the race transfer station for the expo to go get our bibs. So we'll check in later. Alright, it's been a minute. Hi. It's been about four hours. It is now 6 30. We accidentally did about 18,000 steps so far. So that's fine. That seems not like a problem for us in the future at all. Um what did we do? Last time we checked in, we were at the poly looking for the race stuff. We actually had kind of a weird, weirdly difficult time getting cast members weren't sure where the bus was. To the expo was, like at Pali, which is just kind of weird, but we found it, it's all good. And got over there. It is a long hot walk to get from the bus area to where you actually get your bib and then your t-shirts in a different building. We were not there for March, so it was pretty quick. Yeah, less than less than an hour. Yeah. Um, and we were able to catch a bus pretty quickly uh back to where did we go? Uh we got off the beach club. We got off the beach club because we were headed to International Meetup. Uh yeah, so we took it to Beach Club and then walked to Eppot, which was also a long hot walk. Yes. And then spoiler alert, when we got to Epot, it was so hot. So it was the hottest part of the day for sure. Yeah. So we wound up, um, we went to we were supposed to find some people for a meetup, um, but we couldn't. That's right, we couldn't find them. We were a couple we were a little bit late. We might have just missed it, but um that's okay. Alright. We um we wound up taking the boat across the water just to save. We went to Italy. Oh, first we went to Italy. Like the the Italy booth. It was um it was fine. The drinks were meh. The orange is like meh, but I just needed to eat something. I didn't want to have another sugary drink without food. Yeah. Um, so that's why we did that, but it was fine, it was what we expected. Yeah. And then we hopped on the boat. We just didn't want to add the steps if we didn't have to. Right. And it turns out that was a good choice. That was a good decision by us. Good job, us. And then you hit the Canada booth.

SPEAKER_02Uh yeah, northern blooms. Um, it was pretty good. It was I got the seared scallops. They were a little tough, but I mean it's scallops made in like a shed outside in Florida. So, what are you gonna do? Um, but that was good. I just needed something in my body, basically. And we didn't get any drinks there. We just we didn't want any more sugary drinks. We didn't done. So um then we did test track, which was fun. I hadn't done that since the revamp. The revamp, yeah. What did you think? I really liked it. I liked the update. I think I think it's a bummer you don't get to design your own car anymore, but you know, not a not a deal breaker. I I was happy with it. And uh, oh, and then we got you got some food. You got more food, you got a French toast. Oh yeah, well it's a French cot, and I got the French toast situation. It was tasty, but you could tell it had been like sitting out for a while. Yeah, and I actually I wanted to, I thought for a second about getting the pullover over here. About getting the um the shrimp over there, the shrimp and grits, but then I saw that everything was kind of sitting out and I was like, I don't want to be part of to be part of this. Um so yeah, then we did Guardians, it was amazing. Amazing as holy. Everybody wants to rule the world. Which I don't think I've ever had before. I might have had it one time. Okay. And then we hopped a minivan over to Disney Springs. So we're a little early for our dinner reservation, but we're also a little lost. Super last super lost. So we should probably wrap this up and check in later. Kaylee, what time is it? I don't know. I don't have my phone out. You know why? Because I got an ice cream when we left um Disney Springs, and it is now fully liquefied in a cup, so I'm holding it very carefully. So my phone is not. It is nine, it is 8 47. Do you know what time we left our hotel room this morning? So early. It was 8 o'clock on the nose. We are bad at taking it easily. We're not good at this. We're not good at this. We are at almost 20,007. We are who we are. We are who we are. The good news is my running shoes are now fully blue. Um we had a phenomenal dinner. Yes, dinner at Jaleo. Jaleo? Haleo? I thought I've been saying. I think it's Haleo. Haleo, okay. It's kind of like how I always say yay live, but it should be highlight. I think it should be hileo. And there's only one H sound. It was phenomenal. Honestly, it lived up to all of the hype. Really liked the vibe. We got a little nervous walking in because like other people looked dressier than us.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But we got in there and it was like definitely a mix. And it was like upscale food without being stuffy. Yeah. It was really a good vibe in there. Yeah, I I loved it. Um, and also like fairly reasonably priced. For how much food we got. Yeah, I got a wine flight and a cocktail. Danielle got two cocktails, and then we got what six six six fleets. And last tip it was like 240. Yeah. Which I feel like it's not that bad. Not that bad. You wanna pull over over here for a second? Um, yeah, we got you got the red wine flight, I got the salt air margarita, and let me tell you what, it lived up to the hype to the hype. It lit like that. I loved that when you took a sip, the foam didn't deflate. Yeah. And I feel like the last time I got something like that was also at Disney, not there.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And the foam deflated, but it also wasn't salty enough. This was like really salty, so it was a really good mix. So I was really happy with that. And then we got we got the manchego, which is awesome. Um, we got the I don't know how to say it, but it's bread with tomatoes so much up on it. And it's one of my favorites. It was so good. I think that was my favorite thing. And then we got patatas bravas, which is like a spicy potato, it has like a spicy sauce underneath, and then kind of an aioli on top. Um, which I really liked the spicy part. I could have done without the mayo y bit.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Um shrimp. Yes, the spicy garlicky shrimp. That was probably my favorite.
SPEAKER_02I just I was so full by the that is a favorite of mine in other places. I was just so full by the time it came that I only had like two shrimp, I think. But it was really good. We got a really interesting artichoke situation. Yeah. It was like one artichoke that had been cooked like confis, so like in oil, and then really smoky grilled. Yeah. And it had a remescue sauce, which was also very good. We couldn't figure out quite how we were supposed to eat it, but we did enjoy it. Yeah, we couldn't figure out how to attack it, but we figured it out, I feel like. There was something else. Um I just had a texture issue with so this was not quite for me. Yeah. But it was, yeah, overall incredible. And then we both got old fashions. Haley got the Mediterranean, I got the ultimate. G and cheese. G and cheese. Oh yeah, sorry, G and cheese. Um, and they were delightful. It was a solid cocktail, so yeah. Really, really good. Nice night. And then Haley grabbed her ice cream, which is currently melting. So we're gonna head back to the room. Completely liquid. And then we I don't know, we got confused. We went to the West Side bus loop, but then we couldn't find Disney buses. So maybe there aren't any. So maybe they're not. So I uh I probably met read the math wrong. I'm not good at maths. I should quick Google would have solved this and I didn't do it. So we called a lift. I was pretty stressed leaving Disney Springs because it was very crowded. You're it's not your thing at night. Yeah. Um but it was worth it for the delicious meal. So totally, totally. And now we're Yeah, I don't think I can hang out there at night ever. Every guy there looks like someone I'd fight in a bar. Yeah, and someone bumped into me and like really aggressively. And they just kept walking like they didn't notice. It was very bizarre. Very, very strange. It's like either a club or like a fight club, and we're not sure which one. Could go either way. Depends on Daniel's mood. Um so yeah, but we yeah, we wound up calling a lift and it was easy. Um we're gonna go put our feet up and relax. And tomorrow we're gonna try to do better. We're really gonna do it. We're gonna do better tomorrow. Tomorrow we're gonna do better. Yeah, I promise. So we'll check in then. Good night. Good morning from Animal Kingdom. Good morning. How are we doing, Healing? I'm good. The vibes here are so lovely. So, so nice. And so nice to not be in a rush. I know. Yeah, very we're very chill people. Did you know? Did you know? As of today, as of today. We've turned over a new leaf, as it were. But somebody's giving them a hug, a little kid. A big hug. Oh, I love that. That is really cute. Um, I read somewhere that the characters never break a hug, they always wait for the kids first. That's really cute. It looks like that might be what was happening there for like a long time, potentially. That's adorable. Um, yeah, we're walking in, we're headed. We didn't go to the food court this morning, we decided to get food and coffee here. So it takes a step out of the process, basically. But yeah, we slept like the den again. Again. Um bus was a little bit of a wait, but it was a super short ride. So we're really just here to we're gonna ride Everest. We're gonna get coffee, probably hit Nomad, poke around a little bit. My kids want souvenirs from here. Oh poke lines. Oh and then that's it. That's a little midday break. Little midday break. I think Haley's gonna head back to the hotel for some cool time. I'm gonna run to Magic Kingdom to do the shopping I didn't do yesterday, which I should have just done yesterday, but I don't want to leave it till tomorrow. Makes me nervous. So that's the plan. We'll check in later. What a morning, Haley. It was lovely. It really was. I'm relaxed. We did a good job. We did. When we last checked in right when we were walking in, right? Yeah. It was like 9:30, 9:10. We got some coffee and a giant cinnamon roll. Which is very fresh. Not warm, but fresh. Yeah. Uh and I got a cappuccino, which was very good. We went and ate it uh, even though Plain Tree was not open, the seating area was, so we found a nice quiet, shady spot. We made friends with some ducks. The ducks were very interesting. We were excited. Um, but yeah, we like called the kids, called the husbands, adjusted some plans, yep, set some alerts, and really just took our time. Then we went to Everest where we waited less than five minutes in the single rider line for the first ride, and then basically walked on for the second for the second round ride. I did it twice in a row. It was a blast. It was very fun. I had like chatty people next to me both times, which was very fun.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And one of them had on a t-shirt from the Millennium Celebration, which was like probably my favorite year of Disney.
SPEAKER_02Um, so we were chatting about that. That was fun, really fun. Um, and then because Haley made me go on Everest twice in a row, I earned my breakfast margarita. You did. So we got that. We went to Thirsty River Bar, which is kind of my favorite like combo of things. That's our goal to. Hang on, I gotta finish this. Let me pull over. Okay, yeah. Um yeah, so we went to Thirsty River Bar. I got the green shimmering margarita as usual with a tahine rim because that's what you do. I got the Himalayan ghost as always. Yeah, Haley loves that Himalayan ghost, and it was a walking beverage because at that point Nomad had opened, but the wait was still 65 minutes um for walk-up. So put ourselves on the list. We accidentally took a wrong turn, got to do a little Pandora detour, yeah, a little scenic route. Yeah, we thought about stopping in a Pandora gift shop, but my kids all got Pandora um souvenirs last time, so it just didn't make sense. So we just kept on walking, and then right as we were approaching uh Nomad Lounge, we found a little spot in the shade, and we're finishing our drinks and again like making some changes to our reservations and stuff. Yeah, and then it was ready like way early, so we wound up getting seated pretty quickly. We were actually seated in what we think is usually a Tiffin's dining room, but maybe they just use it in the morning. So the vibes were different than a nomad's not as not as chill, but yeah, great server. We got one of the special, what was it called? Taxi, the pecky dermidi. And the pollinator. And the pollinator, yeah. It was a special drink. I didn't love it. It was nice, it was refreshing, it was a little sweet for me. I loved it. It was gin, lavender syrup, lavender bitters, lavender bitters, lavender bitters, honey, lemon, and um little fake bees. Little bit of soda water, and these cute little fake bees. So that was fun. Um, I loved our waiter because they had my favorite red wine there, spiced root chocolate, which I talk about a lot.
SPEAKER_01And so when we were placing our order, um I told him, Oh, I kind of wanted a red wine, but 10 30 feels a little early, ha ha ha.
SPEAKER_02And he was like, We have white. And that made me laugh. Yeah, we can't be like second drink. And then we were like, No, we're good, we have to go. And he was like, You know, you can get one to take on the road, right? And we were like, twist twist our arms. Okay. We also got the cheese board, which was great. It was really good, yeah. Really good. Um, and we did get drinks for the road. We got I got the tempting tigress, which I did not anticipate being basically an old-fashioned, so that was not my best like move for walking around a hot park, but it was a sipper. I didn't quite finish it. It got pretty watered down toward the end, but it was good. I got my spice fruit chocolate to dough. I felt ready for it about new. Okay. And then we made like probably a not great move, being like, let's souvenir shop right now with drinker.
SPEAKER_01It actually wasn't as expensive as I thought.
SPEAKER_02No, and my kids had specifically requested Animal Kingdom souvenirs, so um so we got some stuff there, so that was good. Yeah, and now we're headed out. Haley's headed back to the hotel. Yes. I'm going to Magic Kingdom on a reconnaissance mission for a couple souvenirs, and then I'm gonna meet you back at the hotel for a break.

SPEAKER_02Hooray! All right, we'll check in later. Alright, what time is it, Haley? It is uh 204 and I just want to pat ourselves on the back for taking a proper midday break. We did, we did a good job. We did it. When was the last time we checked in? We were leaving Animal Kingdom, so you were heading back here, and I was heading to Magic Kingdom. I came back here, I pivoted a little because I decided I was actually still a little snacky, so I got a kids' chicken tenders at the food court and ate it FaceTime home, and then I went up to the rim, put my feet up for maybe a half hour, um, and then I went down to the pool where I met Danielle maybe 15 minutes later. Yeah, I went to Magic Kingdom, I was super efficient. I zipped right into the Emporium, I bought my Christmas ornament and had it shipped to the house. Um, so that if it breaks, it's not my responsibility. Um, and then I basically made a beeline for Memento Mori, where I had picked out a couple of things for my kids and a t-shirt for me that I really wanted, which is very unlike me. Um, it's like very oversized, so I'm gonna make it into a dress. Um, and then uh headed right back out. I didn't get on anything, I just headed right back out for the bus, which is very far from the entrance um back to the hotel and stopped at the food court. I had noticed that they had a chili cheese hot dog on the menu, but I wanted chili cheese fries, so I asked if they could put the chili cheese on the fries instead, and they could, and it was only eight dollars. It was wonderful, it totally hit the spot. And Haley thought housekeeping was headed into our room, so she got ready super quick and grabbed my stuff too, and so we were um both able to meet up down the pool, had a snack, she grabbed a couple of chairs that had a little bit of shade, and uh it worked out perfectly, and then we yeah, I think there's not a lot of shade in there.
SPEAKER_01There really isn't, but I lucked out, I found two little things together, which was great.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and then we kind of ate in our little postage stamp of shade, and then um she had grabbed my stuff from the room for the pool. So I went, um the only bathroom near the pool is in the lobby, which is kind of a pain. But so I went into the lobby bathroom and changed real quick, and we got to take a quick dip. It was lovely, it was lovely, it was a little chilly, but it was like perfect. It was yeah, just cool enough to be refreshing.

SPEAKER_02Oh my god, I'm relaxed and refreshed and ready to roll. Um, we were probably in for like half an hour, yeah. Not like super long, and then we just dashed back to the room. I called down to ask for more coffee cups because we need more for the room for tomorrow. And we're gonna need some coffee. And uh, yeah, we got dressed again, and now we're just waiting for the bus to Epcot. So the plan is guardians first. Yes. Um, we are gonna try to stay out of the sun as much as possible until it goes down. It's really, really hot in the sun and it's kind of kryptonite for me. Um, so we are gonna do guardians, and then I think we have a Geo82 right after. Yes, we do. And then we're hoping for a La Cava Los Cava uh what's it called? Lacava. Well, La Cava, but then what's the ride? Oh, caballeros? Caballeros? Caballeros? I don't know. Something like that. We're hoping to maybe do that while we're over there. Um we've got a Viennapoly. We're just we're just feeling the vibes and snacking, taking it easy, and then dinner at Vienna and then bedtime. Yeah, we gotta swing by the food court on the way home. They didn't have runners packs out today after the 10K, but that's fine with me because we're going to we don't want the banana. No, I just got a bagel and a bagel and orange juice. I already have a protein bar back at the room, and I'd probably get some hard-boiled eggs from protein and call it a day. Yeah. So that's the plan. We'll see what happens. Hustling feels like an aggressive use of the word. We should be hustling. We're kind of meandering a little bit. Um it is 7.24. We got to Epcot pretty easily. We waited a little bit for a bus, but we had a bench in the shade and it was fine. It has been a fantastic night. It really has. Guardians, we had Discord Inferno. First row. First row, very fine. So now we want to do back row for our last row tomorrow. Yeah. Um and uh we got after that we went right over to GO 82. Yep, 82. I always think 85 because that's your birthday. Not to give away your age, I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_02Which is not me. Um, we need the wait. What did you get? You got the peach thing again, the peach truck, which wasn't actually as good as last time. Yeah. And then I had the brown butter old-fashioned, which was also not quite as good as last time, but still really good. Still really good. It just wasn't as balanced, it's a little less smooth, I felt, than last time. I got the tequila one. It was okay. I didn't love it, it was fine. Oh, we split the crab cake. Crab cake amazing. Really, really good. I love the caviar, the vinaigrette underneath was really good. So yeah, that was great. Um, and then we what did we do from there? We walked over to Mexico and we didn't quite align for La Cava, but uh there was a nice lady in front of us we were chatting with, so that was fun. And then we just popped in there for one drink and some chips and chips and queso, talked to some funny people. Yeah. And it was getting rowdy in there. It's the sun is still up and it seems kind of messy out here. I know. I think because it's a Saturday and festival season, I think a lot of locals here in a party that will do it. Um, because it's definitely a little sloppier than you're you'd expect for this turn of seven o'clock at night. Yeah. Um but that's okay. It's okay. So we're gonna see if Dianapoly takes mercy on us. If they don't, that's fine. Yeah, we're it just gonna be 20, 25 minutes late. It just took longer to get through the line, and we would have left, but right as we would have left, they were like, Oh yeah, we have a standing room spot and we missed it last time. So we just decided to do it. So we'll see what happens. Either way is fine, and then we're kind of winding it down because uh it's time, it's gonna come real quick. It seriously is. So we'll uh we'll check in before bed. Alright, it's almost nine o'clock. It's almost bedtime, very much almost bedtime. We did get seated at Bianapoli. They did not even blink and I really didn't. Your mileage may vary, but they were like, Oh, you're half hour late, that's fine. And honestly, there were no reservations available, or I would have modified it earlier, but um, there were plenty of tables available, so uh, you know, again, I don't know if they hold some back for walk-ups or what, but it was fine. We probably did the carbo loading wrong and we got a pizza. We had a really good pizza, it was really good, and we have some leftovers in a very tiny box. Yes. Um, but yeah, it was great. Um and now we're just walking back. We decided to walk to the beach club to get a minivan just to minimize the walking. So we're just rolling up there right now. I think did you already order one? I did, yeah. Yeah, so it should be here momentarily. And our goal is Hailey's gonna head right back to the room. I have to swing through the food court to get my food for the morning. We're setting up our clothes and we're going to bed. Call it, call it a night. Calling it a night. So really fun day. Still more than we meant to do, but less than we could have done. Yes. I can't believe we did it. Right around, so like at six, I was like, we're doing this. Like this is happening. We're 100%, we're finishing it. And then at mile eight, I was like, I'm not sure that I'm going to make it. And then mile nine, I was like, I don't want to scare you, but I do need to take out my inhaler right now. And in mile nine, the sun came out also, which was daunting. But at that point, we were both in the park. To be honest, if the sun had been full glazing the whole time, I think I would have had to spend. I would have called in at five. Yeah. Five was the most fun part. But um, but yeah, definitely miles six through nine were extremely difficult. Nine was like cheerful because you knew you were almost there, but it was also extremely long. I want the record to show that my my thing on my phone does say it was closer to ten and a half miles. I just want everyone to know that. For the record. You are unbelievable. I know. Remember when you negotiated an A plus? You were like, I'm pretty sure I should have an A plus. I'm pretty sure you missed a plus there. But yeah, we we did it. We did it. We did it. Yeah. We ran a 10 miler. Now what are you gonna do, Haley? I'm gonna um, not in this order. I'm gonna ride Guardians once, maybe twice. I'm gonna have so many mimosas and a steak the size of my face. That I think that's the order. And I'm gonna, I'm also gonna nap and shower and maybe swim in the pool and go to Magic Kingdom. Okay. Those are the things I'm doing. SPEAKER_02That was right. Yeah. I believe we were on the pavement. It didn't even occur to us to record what we did now. No, I because we couldn't think we alright. So here's what happened. Haley, Haley had so many ambitions for this thing. I think it's so funny. It was so admirable. It was but that was a different time. It was a weird person. What happened was we sat down on the pavement outside of the race, and then eventually the race was like, you have to go home. Like you can't, we don't provide, you know, you have to get to the bus. We're kidding. They they sort of said that, but not to us like directly. We had to like roll ourselves onto our hands and knees and then try to stand up. And I said something ridiculous on the way, and Haley like couldn't move because she was laughing so hard. So we did look like we were in physical distress. And I'm not saying that we weren't. I'm looking at her and like, you're like 411, 110 is soaking wet. Like, what are you gonna do with us if we're not okay? If we need assistance standing right now. But I appreciate your concern. So she was very I think she did not know why we were laughing. I was I was still on my hands.

SPEAKER_02Yeah, so that's when we were still in the hilarity section of recovery. Um, and then Things got real real quick because we had to go get our stuff. Haley's sock was completely full of blood. Something horrible has happened to them.

SPEAKER_02It can fund our next Disney trip, I think. Um and yeah, and then we had to decide because we were at like where even was that? What was that that we were in? A very far parking lot of Epcot. And we had intended to rope drop Guardians and then also use our Lightning Lane for Guardians. That was an idea that occurred to us on the court that may have been overambitious. That was like during the definitely headed to Epcot and get our Lightning Lane at least. Yeah, at least. Um, but we were so far from Guardians. I was guys, I need you to know I was hobbled. I was like inching a lot. We're still not great. We're still pretty sore, but I was literally hobbled. I could not barely move it. So what we decided to do instead was to take, and there were no buses to the front of Apcot. So like if you wanted to, I think they should they should that's some feedback for them. I don't know that no one else was thinking they were going to a park right then. That was on us. We know that now. But just in case, maybe there's a park bus and it makes the rounds. I don't know. Yeah, um, but we uh decided to get on the closest bus to us, which was uh Fort Wilderness, I believe. Yes, initially, so it was Fort Wilderness, Contemporary, and something else. We're like, go to the contemporary, we will hop on the monorail and head back to Apcot and be at the front entrance and kind of minimize our steps. But by the time we got our sad sack salves onto the bus, we realized we couldn't we could not be doing monorails and stuff. That wasn't the thing. I couldn't do, I was like, then I'm gonna have to go upstairs in the contemporary, ride the monorail, and then a huge ramp at the front of Epcot. Yeah, I cannot, I cannot. So Haley said, let's get off at the first stop, which was Fort Wilderness, and we'll call a minivan to take us to the front of the park. And then five minutes later, she was like, you know what? Oh no, wait, we actually got to Fort Wilderness before we made this change. I was trying to get a minivan to take us to the front of the park. Um, but it was taking a kind of a long time to get one. And as we waited, I was like, oh wait, I'm broken and really hungry.
SPEAKER_01So we decided to just switch and grab like a regular Uber and head straight to our brunch at Topolina's early.
SPEAKER_02Um retrospect because we could have just hopped on the Riviera bus from the race parking lot and eliminated our little side quest wilderness.

They were like spelling their last name for him, and I was like, Oh, I know that last name. Yeah, and then it turned out they were from Massachusetts, and I was like, Is your name Tracy? She looked a little startled. She was like, No.

But there's a woman in my town who's very active in the mom's page with the same last name. And I thought, what a coincidence it would be if this is Tracy. So uh yeah, so then we got in um a lift with a kind of judgy driver. He definitely was like a little nervous about our well-being. He was a little worried about us, which is fair.

SPEAKER_02So um and then yeah, we got to top we got to Riviera and it it was a journey of several several days to get inside. I do love it. Um we see people and they say, but with like a mix of concern. Right. Congratulations. Like you obviously finished, but you are not. Well, I don't think it's obvious that we finished, because you can get a medal either way. It's just that you didn't want to take one if we didn't finish, but you could if you wanted to. And I think everyone deserves it if they put the effort in, having done this. I think. But especially since you could get swept. Like you could, like, I told Danielle part way through the race, I was like, I can definitely I'm definitely at the point where I can finish, like I'm sure of that. I'm just not 100% sure I can do it without getting swept. Right. Um which is you know, that's that's rough.

SPEAKER_02Um yeah, we did. But we didn't mention it yet. We did and we are paying the price. Um, but we went to brunch and uh honestly, we were f falling asleep at the table. Like characters were coming around, we were like, Minnie, we can't. We're so sorry.

SPEAKER_02I can't see it. I can't do it. Um and brunch was good. I it wasn't as good as the last time I was there, I think, but I also I was not an emotional place to enjoy it as much. I was rather I should have got the steak, that's the thing. I kind of wanted the steak, and in my head I was like, you can't eat a steak right now, you're like half dead, but I actually think I could have eaten the steak.

SPEAKER_02Um, and I got a legacy mimosa, but I drank like three cups of water. Yeah. Um, so I had a bellini and I had um just like eggs and bacon, and then I asked, I really wanted something sweet too, so I asked if we could just do like a side of um the Mickey. They're not like full waffles, they're like dippers. They're like yeah, they're really cute, they're like mini, mini waffles. Yeah. And she was like, Yeah, I can um I what did she say? She said we're like, I can't allow to do like a pair for the table. Yeah, like a Mickey and a mini dipper. Which was perfect. So we each had one. That was all we needed. That was great. But we wanted, we were like, let's make this a fast one.

SPEAKER_02We like barely said a word at breakfast. So it was very, very funny. Um and then we got another lift back here. Yes. Um, and then we hobbled back to our room. Um, we both showered, which was nice. And then we had blocked off like over two hours to nap. Danielle napped a little, I napped a little, but I'm a napper. Like if I give myself two hours, I usually take a like two-hour nap, but I didn't nap that long. I napped longer, but I got up to pee like 17 times. I feel like I I never want to see an electrolyte again. I know, is my a feeling. Um but yeah, we just woke up, we're assessing our the damage uh, but we think we are cautiously optimistic for doing some of the plans that we had for tonight.

SPEAKER_02I think what we're gonna do is mini van over to Epcot to do Guardians, and I'm assuming they'll honor our expired uh lightning lane single pass from earlier. They usually do. And we have a medal. They have to find out. We have a medal. We'll just say we were in, we were sad. We were hurt, we were recovering. Um, and then ideally, if we're feeling up to it, we'll pop over into Magic Kingdom to do a few things and also dinner. I'm so hungry. We should eat something before six o'clock if we're doing it. Okay, because that's many hours away. Okay. Is it? Yeah, that's the that's the plan. And that is what's going on here. We're just gonna kind of see how we feel and take it by minute by minute. So uh yeah, you'll get a fun update later with surprises about what we managed to do. All right, what time is it, Haley? Uh nine-ish? It's 9.07. Good job. And where are we? We're in fantasy land, hobbling our way to the exit. We are we are in poor shape, my friends. Poor shape. We at last check, I think we were were we entering a cot or leaving a cut? I don't remember. We have so many questions. We did we didn't. 330. We rode Guardians. I think at 3 30 we were just leaving the hotel. Yeah. So we got we got to Epcot. We uh went to grab Florida Fresh, Hayley got the conk fritters, I got the strawberry shortcake, which was very good. We both got the watermelon cucumber slushie. Yes, which is refreshing. Uh it was a little cucumber forward, and we don't like I wouldn't recommend it. It was a little gin backward for me personally, but it was a little refresher. Yeah, just and then we did Guardians again. We did ask to be in the tenth row. The cast member helping at the front was definitely red in the struggle bus, so we round up on the first row. That's fun. We had a great time. We got Disco Inferno, which I think is the second best. Yes, yeah, that was good, and then we very slowly and painfully made our way out of that park. Yes, grabbed a minivan, came over here. We were running a little late, but we're moving really slow, is the problem. We could have made up for it, but we're really not in our best form right now. So we were like a half hour late per reservation, and we were like, we're sorry, it will be another 40 minutes. 40 minutes, which we were like, you know what? Inside, there's seating, air conditioning. Yep, we're not in a rush. That's good. It was closer to an hour. It was more, it was actually more than an hour. Yeah, it was like an hour and 10. Yeah. So it was a little rough, which was a little rough. And then we had some like hilarious mix-ups where we thought a cast member was like ready to seat us, but they were looking for someone else, and then just kind of wandered off. And then we did get called, and we like were like, Oh, it's us, hi. But she didn't hear us. And she didn't hear us, but she was like leaving and like asking other people. We're like, no, ladies are starving, come back. We are so we're so hungry. Um, but we did eventually get seated. We were right by the snow window, which is very pretty, which is really nice. Yeah. Um, and we had a good meal. We'll probably do like a full dining situation at some point, but we all we wanted was steak, and we got steak. Yep. And now we are exiting much later than anticipated. We have disregarded all lightning lanes. We are done. We're done. And tapping out. We're trying to get out during the parade. We have a minivan coming at about 20. We are moving again real slow, so that feels like an appropriate amount of time. And we are hoping to get back to the hotel, probably grab a Mai Thai at the pool bar and then call it a night.

Hi, I'm just like a log rolling through Disney Springs after that enormous, enormous lunch we just had. I know. So last time we checked in, it was last night. Right now it is Monday morning. We feel like it's Sunday morning, but it's not. And we actually we thought we were doing the wrong way. We thought we were doing um brunch at homecoming, but that's only on the weekends. We thought today was the weekend, but however, lunch lived up to all of our hopes and dreams, so I'm not sad about it at all. It was great, but wait, we should back up. So I woke up, I was supposed to get up at 8, I just couldn't. I just couldn't. No, I woke up early, but I just couldn't get out of bed. So I probably got up at like 8 30. Yeah. Um, but we had no problem packing, it was pretty quick. Yeah, we we wanted to be out of the room by 10, and we pretty much did that. So yeah, but very much did that, and yeah, we were on, I would say, probably one of the first buses over to Disney Springs. Yeah, so the buses uh to Disney Springs start running at 10. They start when they open it. Yeah, so we were on the bus at like 10, about 10:15. 1015, which was perfect. Yeah, we had reservations for 11:15, but we wanted to get checked in early so we could get in early if possible, just to give ourselves a little more time. I think we were the we were like the second group checked in, and they opened at 11. It was weird because you check in outside, yeah, but then when they open, they just open the door to whoever's like first to get up to the desk inside and see them first. And two dudes who had definitely gotten their kind of last out of everybody sort of hustled their way to the front of the line, which was kind of weird, but that's okay. That's okay. Um, but yeah, every oh my gosh, everything was amazing. I we both got the fried chicken. Sorry, I think it's that way. We're trying to navigate the map, but the map's not very helpful. SPEAKER_02Um yeah, we both had the fried chicken with the mashed potatoes and a biscuit, which I am taking to-go because I couldn't, I just couldn't bear to leave it behind, but I was so full. Yeah, so I have a little um to-go soup container with two biscuits in it. And you also had the side of mac and cheese, and I had the side of the green beans, which were the best green beans I've ever had in my life. Yeah, the mac and cheese was pretty incredible. And we also split the moonshine flight, which was great. Which was it was awesome, and it was so fun because I never would have ordered the one that was my favorite because it had a banana liqueur in it, and I don't really do banana, but it was absolutely delicious, didn't taste like banana at all. So that'll be at the top of my list next time we go there. Yeah.

Yeah, I have like an hour and a half before I really need to leave for the airport, so I'm gonna go hang by the pool. I support your dreams. And I can't go to Danielle's terminal anyway. I'm in terminal B, she's in C, so it makes sense. I forgive you, but we are I'm kidding, I fully support that. We are so go do it. But yeah, no, we had a lovely morning. Brunch is wonderful. It wasn't brunch, it was lunch at brunch time. Oh then. And then we had a drink at Chocolandsi's, which was kind of a mixed bag. The drinks weren't that great, but the vibe was great. Yeah. And then we grabbed a walking bev from the outdoor thing, which we didn't need. We thought it was a much longer walk than it was. It was a very short walk. And the minivan was quick, so we didn't even finish those. We just failed. And now it's time for me to head to MCL and just say goodbye. And my butt. K-E-Y-E-Y-M-O-U-S-C.

So I'm gonna bring those. Please don't leave those behind. I really want to see what happens with them on the airplane. Maybe I'll do a little Facebook uh Instagram story of their journey. Yeah. Alright. Bye. Oh, hello. Um, I am here in Ohio. Uh, let's see. I can't remember. I think we last um recorded when we were maybe leaving Disney Springs. So Danielle headed to the airport. I headed to the pool. Um, I hung out in the shade for a little bit. It was really nice today. It wasn't too hot, it was beautiful, kind of hazy. Um, I hopped in the pool for maybe half an hour or so, and then I caught an Uber to the airport. Um I hung out in the United Lounge for a little bit, which was not great. Um, very slim pickings, I would say, but it was fine. And then um I boarded my flight. I was so tired. I I am a very, very, very nervous flyer. I dozed off a little bit, including on takeoff, which I literally never do. So I guess I just need to get up at 2:30 in the morning the day before and not really nap or sleep in between so that I can doze off on my flight. But um, yeah, I dozed off for a bit, which was great. Um, I think I might have mentioned before on the podcast, I do not have any kind of status with United because I never fly them. Um, but I was flying from Orlando to my husband's family's um area in Ohio. So I um I I had booked like a regular flight, and then they emailed me and said, Do you want to upgrade to first class for 70 something dollars? And because I don't have any status with them, I did not have a free bag. So it was like, well, I could get a free check bag for$35, and then it's effectively$35 to upgrade to first class. So yes, absolutely I will do that. Um, so that's what I did. So the seat was super comfortable, it was a really good flight. Um, it was uh they had the they had the flight attendant sit down for a few minutes because they said it was gonna get bumpy, but it really didn't get bumpy at all. It wasn't I'm very, very nervous, and I didn't get nervous at all, so that was great. Um, and then we landed and my baby was there waiting for me. Oh my god, I missed him so much. And um, my husband was there, obviously. My baby wasn't there by himself, so um, we headed home and now we're almost at his parents' house, so it was great. I mean, I wish Danielle and I could have flown home together, that would have been great, but um, other than that, it was wonderful, it was a great trip. I'm already talking up Princess Half Marathon 2027 to my husband, um, and it was wonderful, so yeah, a good end to a great trip, and um we I'm sure we'll have a lot of like wrap-up thoughts in future episodes. So see you real soon. Hello, it's about it's almost 10 o'clock at night. Oh my goodness, I'm so tired. Um I am finally home. I left Haley at our hotel. She had more time than I did. So after Disney Springs, um, I just called a lift and picked up my bags, and she went to go do the pool for a little bit, and um I hopped in a car for MCO and I flew out of Terminal C, so it was super easy. Um TSA pre-check took like five minutes, like it was literally nothing. So that was great. I was super stuffed. Usually I hole up at um summer house on the lake in Terminal C, but I couldn't even begin to think about eating anything else, so I didn't. I just uh went and found a place to park myself and did a little bit of work and um waited for my plane to be boarding and then it did board, and I was group B, so it happened pretty quickly. Guys, I fell asleep before the plane took off. I like woke up when they were coming around with the carts that never happens. This is how exhausted I have been from this run. It's hysterical. I'm still super tired. I'm probably going to bed like really soon. I'm also starving constantly. So I was stuffed from um homecoming. And then timing-wise, like I got home pretty late. Oh, I'm running. Sorry. Um, I got home pretty late to have dinner. I just ate like half a pizza, which is very unlike me to eat the whole thing. I'm just, I think I'm gonna be hungry and tired for the foreseeable future. Um, so anyway, yeah, Flay took off on time. It was like bumpy and kind of like bobbing and weaving the whole time. So it wasn't super comfortable, but I was so tired. I just wasn't that worried about it this time. And I was listening to a book and doing my word games on my phone, so it was fine. Landed just about on time. I hadn't checked anything, so I really just had to wait for my husband to be able to make it through the traffic to pick me up. The terminal. Um, and him and the kids did come get me, which was super nice. Usually I take an Uber home, and uh, there's just something about being met at the airport, so I appreciated it. The timing worked out. Um, came home. Kids obviously were like, Hi, we're so psyched to see you. What'd you get us? Um, so we did souvenirs pretty quickly, and um just put them to bed, and now I'm gonna get ready for bed pretty soon because I have to go back to work tomorrow morning. So Haley sent her own on the go for tonight, but just generally, this was a super great trip. We have the best time together and laughed so much about so many stupid things, and really finished a race we had no business finishing. So that was pretty cool. I was pretty happy about that. Um, and who knows, maybe we'll end up doing more. I guess we'll see.
