Hello there. Hi, how are you? Good, how are you? I'm good. I'm tired. It's been kind of a big weekend. Well, your pool is finally. So we I went down to Haley's yesterday because her pool is finally open. Finally finally hang out. Many, many repair sessions and dollars later. Um as of August 1st, we were finally able to get into our pool. I mean there's plenty of summer left. Plenty of summer left. We swam all day yesterday. We swam all day today. So we're definitely making the most of it. Oh good. Yeah, it was such a nice night. We were there later than we expected. I'm sorry. Did we overspare? Not at all. You guys stayed way later than you usually do, but it was lovely. Okay. Yeah, it was great. We got home at nine, and I was like, how is it nine right now? What's going on? Very, very funny. And you had a big week. I did have a big week. Yeah. We had our our our long-awaited main vacation um to Acadia and Monhegan, which my on the goes are, I think all of them are in the last episode, if you are interested in tuning in for those. Um but yeah, it was great. It was great. And honestly, even though we had to leave a day early because of weather and I would have loved the extra day, I have actually really appreciated having some extra time to just be home. I have a major case of the Sunday scaries about going back to work tomorrow, but it's gonna be fine. Of course, it's gonna be fine. I'm trying a new workout program, so I'm excited for the gym in the morning, which is a really dumb thing to be excited about, but I am not and it's not dumb at all. Um I am, I think I just have like a normal work day, and then Gloria has skate, so it would be good to get back to skate. But I already went, I made my lunch, already put my snacks together, I already got my skate stuff together because Mondays are kind of a quick turnaround between when I get home from work and when I have to be at the rink. So I feel like I'm in okay shape. I got lots of client stuff taken care of this weekend, and I've got I think three or four different families out on cruises right now. So I'm oh they're all having the best time and yeah, that's awesome. I think I'm in as good a shape as I possibly can be. But hey, it feels like it's been like a month and a half since we've recorded together. It really does, and it hasn't actually I was thinking it hasn't actually been that long. We recorded right before you went to Mon Hegan about our CAPE episode, right? Right. For some reason in my head, I'm like, I was thinking when I saw your kids yesterday, I was like, oh my god, I haven't seen them since before their cruise. I'm like, that is not really after that. I know, I know. It's crazy going on. It's like the toilet. I know. I can't believe it's August, also. Oh my god, that's amazing. And things are just they're happening so fast now. Like, yeah, it's August. That should mean there's a whole month left before like fall gets going for the all the fall stuff. But actually, like Ella's camp ends next Friday, not this Friday, next Friday, and then she's just off, and her school starts a full week and a half before her school starts, I think, on the 26th or something. So, like it's well before Labor Day. It's very this month, it's happening now. Yeah, and I still haven't like figured out the bus route or anything. Right. She's actually school in a different town, all this stuff out. Um, yeah. The good news, I guess, is that like their activities are mostly a known quantity, like we'll sign up for whatever learn to play program they're running at the same rink. We'll keep up to skate, so that's glorious, kind of two things. And then Ella, we already have her gymnastics schedule, so that's fine. And Audrey, I still need to find she wants to do karate, but the dojo here that we always went to closed. He retired. Oh my goodness, yeah. Um, Nancy Doug. What did she used to call him Nancy Doug? She couldn't say she couldn't figure out like sensei. She called him Nancy Doug. Um he is he's uh no longer teaching, so we need to find a new place for her to do karate. Um, but it's all it's all good, Haley. It's all good. It's all good. Good. What are we talking about today? Yeah, so I just kind of I feel like I listened to my om the goes, and I feel like throughout, in particular, the Monhegan stuff, I kept being like, we'll talk about that later. We'll talk about that. Let's uh you know what? We're doing om the goes, let's get into that later. And so I wanted to do like a little wrap-up of that section of the trip in particular. And and a little bit about Acadia, I guess, as well. Um which you guys loved. Now I want to go to Acadia. Yeah. I think Acadia is gonna be our every year main ad like we we all we have a main adventure every year, and I think Acadia will be like our new instead of Megunta Cook, where we used to camp, which was more mid-coast, even though it's further away, it is definitely more of a pain in the butt. Like you have to be on top of the reservations, it's more planning. Yeah, there's no showers uh right on site, so like you you have to plan ahead about that stuff, but yeah, honestly, we just loved it so much. So I would definitely I think that's that's gonna be our go-to. Nice, yeah, yeah. That so that like fully lived up to the hype. Um, honestly, Blackwoods, the campground. I guess let's let's start there. Black the campground we went to. Um, when I heard there was like no showers and it's really like the state park one, I was kind of like, oof, this is gonna be rustic and like yikes. Yeah. No, it's wicked nice, it's wicked nice. The bathrooms, super clean. Oh I was perfectly happy with my like uh backpacking body wipes that we got from the Cabela's or whatever, but you probably just use diaper wipes if you felt like it. Um that was totally fine. So the lack of shower was not a problem for three days. I think any longer than that, and I would go off tonight to take a shower. That says a lot for Danielle because if you don't know her, she needs a shower to function daily. Like she cannot engage until she has taken a shower. So it turns out my mental health is truly a house of cards held up by a workout and a shower. And like if I those two things, it's it's over for all of that. It's not great. Yeah. Um yeah, no, but this was this was fine. I did end up using that. Is it like Beekman 1809 or something? I forget the name of the product, but that's a body wipe too that I had signed on. Oh god, that lady whose YouTube you told me about, Jen LaForge. Oh yeah, yeah. So I don't always watch her stuff. Like she um does she does a lot of different kinds of trips, lots of vlog kind of stuff, but then she does a lot of lifestyle stuff like at home that I don't really follow. Um, but she had on I think a trip to Europe where they were gonna be like taking trains and hiking around. She had brought these wipes with her that were Beekman. I'm gonna get the number wrong, but I think it's 1809, it's a brand. And she had these eucalyptus and mint wipes, and those were a joy. So, like after I like desweated myself with the backpacking wipes, I had something nice smelling. I could just like wipe my face and like arms and stuff made a huge difference. It was totally livable, not a problem at all. Good, good. Um, so that was really good. Um, I think one thing that was really funny was the different like ages that we were camping with. And it made me think about even last year, we sort of said this about our just our family, and then we didn't really just like we're reaching a point where like Ella is in a completely different category of personhood than even my younger kids who are kind of in one bucket, and then we had two cousins with us who were kind of also in that middle bucket, and then we had a younger cousin with us in the younger bucket, and like everybody's needs are just completely different, you know what I mean? Right. I feel like we kind of ran into that a little bit with our family trip at Disney, just in like you were still like pumping, and like Luke, you know, like his nap, like his sleep schedule kind of dictated what you guys needed to do and like when he needed to go down. So, like sometimes we'd be ready to go and you guys would be still getting ready, or like vice versa, and everyone just kind of needed to like split out and do their own thing. That's really hard when you're camping because oh yeah, you're all sharing. We were in a group site and we were all sharing one space, but also like we had neighbors on different schedules and stuff like that. So I feel like with the community, you just have to be even more flexible and like also even more mindful of each other's like kind of needs and stuff like that. Um yeah, it was so that was that was just like a funny thing, but yeah, no, Akadi was fabulous. That's I guess kind of all I would say about that. Um but Mon Hegan, I wanted to talk about it. So we had this. I got some of the story yesterday. That at some point I said the name of the place we're staying, and I'm not gonna repeat it again because it's not like we have a huge following of people who are desperate to hear about Maine, but I wouldn't want to like go super negative on somebody else's small business, but I just want to give like an honest review of this experience, something to think about just in general when you're booking Airbnbs and stuff like that, which I've never done before. I don't think I've ever seen an Airbnb before. That wasn't like well, I guess no. I guess when we went to Outer Banks, but you really booked that. I didn't really book that. That wasn't Airbnb, that was Outer Banks Blue. Oh, okay. Yeah, so that wasn't a true Airbnb. The Cape, when we went down the Cape and stayed in a house during COVID, that was managed by a hotel, so that was different. So I've done I've done Airbnb twice. I've done it once in Portland, um, which was not a great experience. And then I did it once in St. Thomas, but it was booking in like through an Airbnb at a timeshare. So you pretty much knew what you were getting, you know, like it was right. You knew what the timeshare was, it was just booked through Airbnb. So it was kind of different, but yeah. Yeah. So this was just a wacky thing. And there is some stuff about it where like we knew it was gonna be wacky. It's a weird place. Like everyone kept saying, Oh, have you watched Widows Bay? It sounds like you're going to Widow's Bay. Now we're back, we've started watching Widows Bay, and we're like, oh my gosh, this is very much like that. Um, it's this tiny little island, it's 12 miles out to sea. They do have electricity. We actually wound up taking a wrong turn on one of the hikes that we did and stumbled upon like their generator farm. Um everybody seems to be using Starlink for Wi-Fi. So actually, even since like five years ago when we went, you couldn't get on Wi-Fi five years ago. Like there was just nothing. There's no cell service, there's no Wi-Fi, there's nothing. Everything was cash. Like even since then, it's really improved. And so you know, the the Wi-Fi was completely fine most places as long as you were actually connected. Um, but it is, you know, it's a wacky place, and it draws a certain wacky group of people who like choose to live there, whether that's full-time or just like seasonally. Um, and the way that we booked this was like very strange. So I basically, when we decided we were gonna do this, this was back in April, which is pretty last minute, honestly, for a place that books. I mean, there are people who stay there all summer, there are people who stay month to month. There, but most places are gonna have a one-week minimum for private lodging. So I reached out to all, I went, there's a couple websites you can go to. I reached out to all of the inn owners. There's a handful, like maybe three or four, like kind of bed and breakfast kind of places. Um, and then there's a large number of smaller to larger properties that are typically for the most part, they're all managed by like a handful of people. So, like, you know, you've got like this guy, and he owns four places, and so you reach out to him about any of those four places. There's not like a centralized way to do this, and like every website, it's like you have to click on each house to see here's the configuration of the bedrooms. It was just very labor intensive. And I finally was like, you know what? Like, I know we're not gonna have a full week. I have, I think, three to four nights that I can play with. Let me just reach out to those property owners, like the management companies, basically, which are very small. It's this is not like a large operation, or also the owners of the bed and breakfast, and just say, here's what we have, here's what we need, like, here are the dates we're doing. Do you have anything? Like, are you aware of anything that might work for that party? Like, what would you recommend? And I heard back, sorry, there's a very angry cat in the background. I don't know if you can hear that. I'm being yelled at loud. I guess it sounds that's Dora. I know it sounds like there's something wrong with her. She's actually just really angry. She's she's okay. She's been mad at us since we got back. Oh, she does that a couple couple of times a day while staring at you. Um, sorry, Dora. She can't hear me, she's deaf. Uh, yeah, so and you know, a couple of people got back to me. For the most part, it was like, oh, like I really don't have anything that would fit you guys unless you wanted to like stay a whole week and rent a whole house, and like we really couldn't do that. So, but this one person who owns uh one of the larger inns on the island got back and was like, Well, we do have like individual rooms, but we also have this other um property that I manage that is a um more of like a private cottage. Um and like I even made John go back and read the emails between me and her because expectation and reality did not meet at all. Um, right. And was it was just kind of like, you know, like with there's three bedrooms that are open, and I happen to have those nights open. Um, there will be an artist in residence in the other unit that's kind of down the hall, but you guys, it would be like you had private, you know, accommodation. There's a kitchen, you'd have access to it, make family meals in there, like you know, oh, there's we have a great living room with a fireplace, lots of games you guys can play, like very much like the house is shared with a shared bathroom situation which we knew, like, but shared as as as in we are welcome to be in those spaces as well, and as though this is something they do regularly. So we then then that was back in April. We got a deposit down, which was just a Venmo, and to be totally honest, I didn't ask a whole lot of questions. I was just psyched they had I mean it's a go-in-a-flow kind of place. I was psyched they had space. It wasn't it wasn't cheap, but it wasn't prohibitively expensive. And I was just like, all right, let's do it. But like never at any point did I I'm I am my worst client, I'm my own worst client. Never at any point did I think to ask, like, what are the cancellation terms on this? Like, what's the what I put on this deposit? Do I ever get that back if we change our mind? Is there a cutoff? Like anything? I really didn't ask any questions. Got the confirmation, like definitely we were all it definitely we were all set. It just wasn't like official. It just clearly was that we were all set, but it didn't feel official. That was back in April. So, like two weeks ago, I realized I've never heard from this person again. And uh, so I you know, I sent an email, I had logistical questions, I had found I didn't know that it was available on Airbnb. I literally I booked it through email with this one person, and then I had done some Googling because I wasn't hearing back from her and found an Airbnb listing for each individual room in the house, and it said laundry available, like all this stuff. So I'm finding like all these bits and pieces of information and from an Airbnb listing that I didn't even know existed. She never responded. I never got like a here's how you check in, or like, hey, we're expecting you next week. Like anything. So, like, I I mean, I showed John the email and I was like, it it sounds like we're good. It sounds like this is a confirmation. I just never got anything like official about here's how you get here. So the night before we're supposed to get on the island, I'm like up doing AI searches, being like, how do I check in at the name of this cottage? And I it actually like pulled info from other places that I was able to figure out what I was supposed to do. So the answer was basically you check in at the inn that this woman also owns, but you used there, there's these luggage trucks. They have pickup, it's the only cars on the island they have of um pickup trucks that wait at the dock for um different locations and they're kind of color-coded. And then there's one that can be hired for like private houses, but the the inn has a dedicated truck, and so put your stuff on there and let them know you're gonna be at the cottage instead, and they'll drop it to the cottage, and then you just go to the inn to check in. So it's like, all right, I feel like we have at least some idea what we're doing here. Great. So that's what we do. The ride out was fine. Find the guy with the truck, give him our stuff. He seems to know that we're coming, so I'm like, all right, great. We hike over to the inn, which is a pretty easy walk. Um, and we get to the front desk, and the lady, the receptionist, the woman, the receptionist person at the customer serves the desk, right? The desk is literally like a table, so it's not really official, but it's just it's fine. And I was like, Oh, we're checking in, you know, across the way. And she's like, Oh, great, okay, cool. So, like, did you send your bags with the driver? And I was like, Yep. Um, and I'm pretty sure I saw them outside, so they're over there. Like, okay, awesome. Yeah, so you're all set. And I was like, Oh, um, okay. And she was like, Oh, yeah, we're keyless. And I expected like keyless entry. When you hear keyless entry, what does that mean to you, Haley? You think you would have like a little pin pad that you have to put a code in to enter a lockbox, a code, like on a car, a keyless ignition is sometimes a fingerprint or having a key that's nearby that you don't have to use. No, what they meant was we're everything is unlocked all the time. Yes, we're literally keyless in that we don't use any keys of any type. We just don't lock anything, it's just open. Um, which in and in my head, I was like, Haley would be getting directly like you would have missed the last ferry, so you would have been out of luck that night. That was the scariest. We were we so we were on the 3 p.m. ferry out of Port Clyde. We're getting to Mon Hegan around four-ish. That same boat just turns back around and leaves. So, like, if you get off that ferry, the folks who are leaving for the day get on that ferry and they're out of there. There's nothing that's it. So when I couldn't get a hold of anybody, I was like, it is possible we're sleeping outside. Like, I if I can't like find what's gonna happen to us, but I just decided to like trust the process and it will be fine. So, okay, we're there, they're keyless, okay. So we go across the way, and uh again, keyless, we just want we wander in, that's fine. We bring the bags in. We had brought a lot of our own food for various reasons. So there's like in our past experience, there there didn't used to be a lot of like stay, like you know, pop-up stands, food trucks. There was like one or two things initially, and then a very expensive sandwich shop that the kids don't want anything from, and it so and and things have gotten better. There's definitely more stuff now. But like my kids don't eat seafood. So, like the fact that there's a fish fry available after hours cherry leaves. It doesn't really help. So we and to save money and also just cater to kid tastes, we brought a decent amount of our own food, really simple stuff. Like we brought a couple bags of pasta and a jar of pasta sauce, we brought some boxes of mac and cheese, we brought a lot of snacks because again, there's not a lot of snackery available during the day. Like it's it's just it's not suited to that. So we brought, you know, we had trail mix, we had um fruit that didn't need to be refrigerated, like bananas, oranges, apples, stuff that my kids eat constantly, granola bars, stuff like that. So nothing crazy, not a huge amount of stuff, but like a decent amount of stuff. We're there for three or four days. Um, and then some stuff that did need to be refrigerated that we brought over and just our small, like collapsible cooler, like American cheese for grilled cheese, cheese sticks, because everybody likes to eat those when they're hiking. Like not a ton, but you know, enough. We get there and there's somebody in the kitchen, and which again we knew this was a shared space, so we were like, okay, like we're expecting another person to be in this house. So this woman is like looking at John as he's unpacking our snacks and stuff, just kind of onto the counter because he opened the pantry door and it was like shock full completely, as though they did not anticipate anyone else like arriving. And that did seem to be the case. It seemed to be like when she said, like, we happen to have those nights open, uh it seems like maybe they have all nights open because they don't really do this, and this was a surprise to everyone that we would be arriving and being in the home. So John was like unpacking all this stuff, and this one was like, Oh, I'm Cynthia, and he was like, Oh, hey, like I'm I'm John, like we're you know, we're staying upstairs. And um, we thought that Cynthia was then the uh artist in residence that we had been told we'd be sharing the house with. She was like, Do you need us to like make some space for your stuff? And he was kind of like, I I mean, you can, I'm also happy to just leave it on the counter, like it's really up to you. She was like, Okay. And so she like made some room. I'm doing air quotes that you can't see, but like made some room meant like making a very hilariously small amount of shelf space available in the pantry. And like, so all of our stuff was like in like this tiny little pile in the center of a shelf in the pantry, and then I just kind of fit the fridge stuff in as I could, and like we're trying not to be in the way. There's stuff you expect, right? Like, we knew there was a shared bathroom, we knew like whoever would be staying with was there longer than us, so probably had like their own thing like established. Like, we're trying not to be in the way, right? Um so that was kind of funny. Then someone else comes downstairs and very friendly person, actually from Massachusetts, it turns out. Um, very, very nice. Um, but she was then staying in the room that we thought was maybe Cynthia the resident artist's room. And then it turns out Cynthia is not the resident artist. And there's also, like, I think a couple people staying in that room, and then also there's a second room that's downstairs that seems to have a rotating cast of people. Um, and so it was a lot, we were sharing space with a lot more people, sharing a bathroom with a lot more people in this entry situation, and that was weird. The there was some small stuff that I was like, you know, a very small change would make this much more hospitable, just in general. Like, love, they had lace curtains on the windows, which on the one hand, love the breeze, that's all great. It would have been nice to have something you could actually close just because of brightness. So it was very, very early mornings every day. I love the breeze. I probably would have kept it partly open anyway, but like it just it seemed to just not be set up with actual people in mind, which was very strange. The rooms itself, very nice. The rooms were great. The the house was really nice. There was a lovely deck, there was a nice yard. Um, the grill that we were told we could use did have plants growing out of it. So no grilling. The outdoor shower that was pitched to me as like a gorgeous outdoor shower with sea views, also full views of neighbors, so definitely not meant for actual showering. Um so that was kind of I think it was more of a rinse the sand off, but like again, that's just not how it was pitched, so it was just a very strange and then I mean we expected things like low water pressure because they have a well and there's just not that much water, like that. You expect, I expect not to have like the hottest water for very long, like we knew we were gonna have to rush through showers, all of that, totally fine, and I feel like we were actually very respectful. But for instance, like the first night we get there, we haven't showered since we got to Acadia. I know there's other I in my head, there's one other person in the house at that point. Um, and but we all needed to shower, so we really like rushed the kids through showers, like no one was in there longer than like five to seven minutes, even Ella included, who usually takes a very long shower, and myself. The water was fully cold by the time I got to shower because I was last, but again, that's like kind of what you expected. We had I think let's see, I had a face wash, a bot a mini body wash, a full-size conditioner, because we use a ton of conditioner, and a small travel size shampoo in the shower, and then we had five toothbrushes and two toothpastes on the sink, and there were already like multiple other toothbrushes and toothpaste, like the shower was full of other people's stuff, definitely more than one person. So, like, and then I had a big toiletry bag, and I took that back to our room because I was like, I don't necessarily need all of this stuff at a sink, so I'll bring it back to not be in the way. The next morning we go to breakfast, and when we come back from breakfast, someone has taken all of our stuff out of the bathroom and gone into our room that doesn't lock and put it in a pile on our bed and left everybody else's stuff in the bathroom. That is so bizarre, so strange, but also just like comically unwelcoming. Like, and it's like we did pay to be here, like we didn't like just turn up, like someone said we could be here and like share the space. Like, very, very strange. And like I said, we were really trying to be as inobtrusive as possible. Like the kids had their iPads charged, ready to go, so no one was gonna be up making noise first thing in the morning. Like we kept everything neat. We like we really, I feel like, like at one point, somebody left I think their headphones on the chair, and again, the shared living space we were supposed to have access to. And I go upstairs and they're hanging on the kids' door. Like, it was just like very, very weird. Our food got moved over and over again, like it got consolidated in the already very full pantry. I go into the fridge to get stuff to pack for a hike we were going on, can't find any of our food. I found all of it completely jammed in a crisper drawer in the bottom. Like the cheese sticks were then like not usable, they were all mushy. Like, someone went through and like did that on purpose. Very, very strange. We did all our own dishes, like we I did other people's dishes. Like, I feel like we tried really hard to be like very respectful guests, and it was like someone definitely heard me say, like, oh, I need to take a quick shower, and it rushed past to get in the shower first. Just like a very strange, like, college roommate weirdness. Yeah. And like then, John at one point went to the bakery, the pop-up bakery, and someone was like, Oh, hey, you probably noticed we like kind of cleaned up. He was like, Yeah, we couldn't find our food. And they were like, Oh, yeah, we just um, you know, people don't really use the kitchen. And he was like, Right, but we were told we could use the kitchen. And they were like, Yeah, just we don't usually have people use the kitchen. It's like, okay, but we paid for this and we're told we could use the kitchen. There's a very, very strange left a very weird and the oh, and then the dog, that was the other thing. The very nice woman who's not the resident artist. We wound up meeting the resident artist. They were staying across the street. We met him and his wife and their child are very nice. Um, there was no laundry. That was the other thing. There was no laundry. We had only packed for three days because we thought we had laundry when we got there. Laundry. Yeah. Uh there was no laundry. They, I guess they used to operate a coin op place down the street um that had been shut down. There was a washer in the basement, but we were told it's only for hotel needs. And I'm like, but in the email, we were told we had laundry. So, like, what are we supposed to do? So it was just there was a lot of like weirdness, and also there was a dog. So the woman staying across the hall that was not at all like down the hallway in a separate area as the head like literally across the hall, literally across the hall, which also fine, like shared space, okay. But she had a dog with her that hated children and was very, very aggressive towards the children. Oh my god, didn't like John, apparently, doesn't like bearded men, which I guess fine. But then also, like, like my kids, I when when she first came back with the dog, she was like, Oh, it would be better if they didn't interact. He's very nervous around children. And I was like, Oh, okay, guys, did we hear that? We're gonna give this dog some space. We're not gonna play with this dog, okay? The dog freaked out at them, thankfully was on leash in a way that made my kids absolutely terrified and not want to deal with that dog at all. So, like, we really were trying to stay away from this dog, but like it's staying across the hallway. So this woman was like back and forth, you know, in and out of the house with the dog, always on a leash. But like, if it saw the kids, it lunged at the kids, even if the kids were actively trying to hide behind the couch. It was nuts, and like the liability involved, and and it turned out like the person who owned the place is friendly with this person who is staying there, who is again super, super nice. Their dogs are best friends, like she knows this dog, so like you rented a house out to people with children at the same time as a person with a very aggressive dog that hates children, hates kids. So I'm for the record gonna put all of this in an email and like some of this, like John gave some feedback in real time when about the kitchen thing. Like, but no one has ever responded to my email again after getting my deposit, ever. So my gosh, very, very strange situation. I think you know, we still had a great time. We left a day early, mostly because of the weather. We were also feeling pretty yucky about like, hey, you shouldn't be in this space kind of stuff, just feeling like very unwelcome. Um, and it was so weird because I felt like the emails back, the exchanges like before I put down money were like very custom, very like, you know, oh, this is so great. We love having kids in the house, we love families, like you're gonna love having the extra time on the island, like very specific to us. The second a deposit was down, it was like peace out. Um that's so crazy, which is so crazy, and just as like another like person in the travel slash hospitality industry, like it's such bad practice, and like not the thing you want to do, you know what I mean? So it's just just kind of a crazy, kind of a crazy thing. We did still have a great time. Like when we were telling you a little bit about this yesterday, we were like, um, you know, you were like, oh, is Monhegan maybe a day trip? And like honestly, no, we we really loved having the full like real time on the island, not being stuck to the ferry schedule. We got to some places we had never been, we got to revisit some things. I would have liked more downtime even than we had. Um, and so like I think absolutely we would go back and stay, but it's gonna have to be a private. The the issue is that all the inns have like one twin, two twin beds in a room. It's they're old, and so they would have to be a private house because otherwise we're paying for three rooms. Um, you know, something to think about for next time. But if you're Airbnbers, it's just like this was like a this is my first go at Airbnb. I think I rented an Airbnb from someone I knew once already, but like other than that, it's like I've never done this before, and it was wacky, so that was it was a great trip. I don't mean to be negative. We still we had a fabulous time. The island is gorgeous, the space was really nice. It was just like a really weird, quirky travel experience, and yeah, you know, we try to keep it real in here, so I wanted to be I didn't want to bog down the on the goes with it, but I wanted to be honest about the reality of the experience, which was like a little strange, a little bizarre. A little bizarre, a little bizarre. I'm glad you still had fun regardless. Yes, we did. We did, yeah. You can't not enjoy Maine, right? It's vacation land, right? It's Maine, yeah. Oh my goodness, yeah, crazy. So that's it. That's my wrap-up. I guess if you're doing this kind of off the beaten path craziness, like examine your details pretty well in advance. I didn't, I was like, right, it's booked, I'm going, we're doing it. But thankfully, we're a pretty flexible travel family, so it wasn't right for us. But right um, you know, that's that's the whole wacky thing that happened when we went to make maybe book with someplace with a travel advisor. Maybe book, yes, yes. I don't book Airbnbs. Travel advisors aren't really supposed to book Airbnbs, just FYI. But if you can get a local hookup, like someone who really knows what they're doing wherever it is that you're going, absolutely that is the way to go.
